We are delighted to announce the completion of the restoration of the Silver Gallery at the Sheraton Hotel, Park Lane, London following a catastrophic ceiling collapse during a wedding in April 2019. Miraculously, there were no injuries! Our design team including Donald Insall Associates, The Morton Partnership and Max Fordham have been magnificent in defining the detail and handling very sensitive listed building consent issues, which enabled our site team to restore the art deco interior to its former glory in good time. Our ANG site team were also superb, and comprised James Russell, Paul Harvey, Steve Dandy and Mungo Boucher. See attached letter from Westminster City Council congratulating the ANG team on the quality of the restoration work delivered. Watch out for the short film detailing this restoration, which will appear on our website very soon!
In addition to our Clore Music Room project award at New College, Oxford, the team was awarded for the work carried out at the former Morris Garage site, namely the Kimber Wing. The wing has been built to the highest specifications by Austin Newport and the whole design team as listed on the Award Certificate below. This wing provides first class student accommodation for New College, and was praised at its opening in March this year for its 'gold standard' accessibility in the University.
